The purpose of the Municipal Court is to keep order and enforce state and municipal laws in the Borough of  Ocean Gate.

 The Municipal Court is constitutionally entrusted with the fair and just resolution of disputes in order to preserve the Rule of Law, and to protect the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and Laws of the United States and the State of New Jersey.

Ocean Gate Court is located at 801 Ocean Gate Ave is held on the third Wednesday of each month and begins promptly at 3:00 pm. Please arrive early to give yourself time to enter through security and to meet with the Prosecutor, if necessary.

As per AOC rules, audio and video recording of the proceedings are strictly prohibited.  If you would like a copy of the proceeding, you can fill out a judiciary records request form located below.

If you are not a listed party in a specific case, you must submit a request in writing for approval to appear at a virtual hearing.  Please send all requests to Ocean Gate Court.

Defendants may continue to make payments for parking, traffic and criminal time-payment matters through the municipal court’s online payment website at NJMCdirect.com.
